A place of exchange, conviviality and sweetness.
The bookshop Maruani regularly organizes meetings with authors, reporters or documentalists; creative, writing and voice workshops; concerts and readings. Don’t hesitate to come and share with us precious moments of the life of our neighborhood.
The bookshop opened in 1989 in a mall center in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. After the restructuration of the center in 2001, we fought in order to settle on the n°171 of the boulevard Vincent Auriol. Thanks to this we had the possibility to open up even more to the neighborhood, favorising the social link, particularly by participating at events organised by the district council. A great inaugural evening took place in the 17th of november of 2001 for our settlement on the boulevard.
In october 2013, we added a gourmet area, opened a terrace for our customers.
The bookshop Maruani is more than a bookstore. It’s a place of encounter, where you can be listened to and where advices are given by Katia and Nicole, surrounded by their loyal team. It’s also a place full of history in a popular and endearing neighborhood of the 13th arrondissement, precious to Léo Malet. Also the technological modernity get along with the sent of the ink and the paper, also maybe it’s a link between the past and the future, where authors of all periods meet.
We are on social media in order to open ourselves to a new audience and to inform our regular.
Taste the sweetness of small dishes made by our caterer Rachel’s Cake, Dose and for the vegan and gluten free dishes we work with L’atelier des Lilas.
In order to meet a good quality our coffee is directly grounded, our tea is from Palais des Thés, the organic and natural infusions are from Chic des Plantes and our juices from the brand Allain Milliat.
We also sell craft beers from the parisian brewery Bapbap and cider from Appie.
